Report from Florida Training Camp

The Florida training camp brought together Team NextUp players, some of Norway's top golfing talent: Viktor Hovland, Kristoffer Ventura, Kristian Krogh Johannessen, Mats Ege, Herman Sekne, and Michael Mjaaseth. Our elite players led the way, setting an excellent example for the rest of the group by demonstrating their commitment to improvement and preparation for the upcoming season.

Preparation for Upcoming Tournaments

Mats Ege and Herman Sekne used the camp to finalize their preparations for the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying School, which takes place from December 3rd to December 6th. The camp provided them with the ideal environment to sharpen their skills and focus on performing at their best in this critical event. Rest of the players are preparing for the 2025 season who is just around the corner.

Kristoffer Ventura's Outstanding Form

Kristoffer Ventura showcased his exceptional skills throughout the camp. He achieved impressively low scores during the six competitive rounds, demonstrating both his consistency and ability to excel under challenging conditions. His game has shown remarkable improvement over the past year, and he is now qualified for the PGA Tour. Ventura is poised for success at the highest level, and his current form suggests he is ready to achieve significant results in 2025.

Viktor Hovland's Development

Viktor Hovland continues to lead by example, working diligently on key areas of his game. His commitment to making technical adjustments and refining his skills has already led to significant improvements in his form. Hovland’s preparation for 2025 is well underway, and his progress during the camp suggests he is on track for another strong season. His focus on development and growth highlights his dedication to maintaining his position as one of the world's top players. He also shared some of his knowledge with the upcoming players, taking time to work with and explain short game mechanics and shots is one example.

Building Team Spirit

While golf is an individual sport, the NextUp Golf Team emphasizes the importance of community and collaboration. The camp provided an excellent platform for players to connect, share experiences, and exchange knowledge. Group discussions and shared downtime fostered a strong sense of camaraderie, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.

This collective approach not only strengthens individual performance but also aligns with the long-term vision of NextUp Golf: to build a team that supports each other on the path to the global elite.

Conclusion

The Florida training camp was a resounding success. With elite players like Viktor Hovland and Kristoffer Ventura leading the way, and with Mats Ege and Herman Sekne preparing for the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying School, the team is better prepared than ever for the challenges ahead. The players’ hard work, combined with a focus on team building and individual development, positions the NextUp Golf Team for a bright future in 2025 and beyond.
