"The goal of Nextup Golf is simply to come together and feel that we actually gain something from these gatherings. Every time we meet, we learn something new," explains Hovland. LEARNING AND DEVELOPING NEW PLAYERS

Hovland rejects the notion of being a solitary mentor figure on the team at the moment and insfists on being part of the community. "I don't really see myself as a mentor; I want to be part of the group like everyone else," he says. "It's about sticking together, creating an environment where we can build relationships, learn from each other, and make each other better."
Regarding the potential impact of this initiative on Norwegian golf, Hovland is optimistic. He hopes it will increase interest in following Norwegian golfers throughout their careers, not just when they reach the top levels of the PGA or European Tour. "I hope this will be talked about and that there will be a greater interest in following the upcoming golfers in Norway," he expresses. He highlights the importance of supporting players on the path to success and opens up to a broader interest in events such as the Challenge Tour and Nordic League.
For Norwegian golfers, this initiative represents a potential path to success and a resource for guidance and advice. "If you don't know how to become the best, or if you don't have anyone to give you advice along the way, it's difficult to get there," Hovland points out. Nextup Golf Team offers a platform where young talents can find guidance and inspiration to pursue their dreams in golf.
